Dear Reader:

You will notice that I write “G-d” in a hyphenated manner, even though I am not Jewish.

Also, you may notice from time to time that non-Jewish organizations and non-Jewish persons are also writing the Creator’s name in this manner.

In my case, I grew up with Atheistic parents who placed me in a Christian school, from fifth grade to my senior year. Therefore, I grew up in the Baptist tradition by way of my education.

Now, I need to mention that one quarter of my family is comprised of African and European persons who are Jewish, some of whom are Orthodox.

So, even though I’m not Jewish, I opted to hyphenate the Creator’s name in my written work, out of respect.
